Three Trees Mechanical Theatre

(22”W x 30”W x 6”D) Metal, Douglas Fir, Pear Tree Branches, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Milk Paint

The curtain moves back and forth on a metal track on the top of 3 Trees. To make the curtain car go, one pulls the handle on the side opposite where the car is located. The red and white segmented handles are comprised of separate carved components, which flex like a backbone when you grab them. I like how they “give” when touched. The trees exit the top of the box through carefully placed holes, and support the clouds by use of metal ball chain.
