Tree Truss Mechanical Theatre

(24″W x 21″H x 5″D) Curly Douglas Fir, Alaskan Yellow Cedar, Cherry tree branch, metal, Milk Paint

The aluminum arched truss looks like it fell out of the sky and into the tree. This was the first piece I used tree branches on – this one is a cherry tree branch from our back yard.

The tree is tensioned over to the box side with cable to keep everything in the right place. The box itself is made from a piece of curly Douglas Fir I’ve been carting around for years and it finally found a project.
